I highly highly highly recommend that you bring your own board or skis

I highly recommend that you bring your own board or skis. You will have a much better time if you have your own equipment. Yes, the international airline of your choice may charge you up to 100 dollars each way to carry your skis or board, but that cost will be a whole lot cheaper than renting equipment at each resort we go to, and you won’t have to wait in rental lines. Plus, it will look very cool to have our Cool Me Down SUVs with all of our gear on them (all our SUVs have board/ski ready racks to safely transport our gear). As far as the bus from Buenos Aires to Bariloche, the fee to carry a board or skis is around 30AR$.

I encourage you to feel confident on a board or skis before coming on this trip. The trip does not include ski/board school of any kind. Given the landscape of Patagonia, I recommend you at least have intermediate snowboarding/skiing experience prior to coming on this trip. The trip is not best suited for beginners, though you are welcome to come along as long as you take care of your own instructor/school fees. All the resorts we go to have ski schools, which you can access via the links to the left. I am down to share some knowledge myself, but I will not be an official instructor at any point on the trip.

As far as helmets, they are widely used here in Patagonia, so if you have one, I highly recommend you bring it along. Safety first!
